Setting up DFS on Adv. server

T

Tim Perkins

OK, I've done everything in Q241452 with no errors or
problems (that I'm aware of - event viewer is clear). I
open the DFS snap-in, create a DFS root and add replicas
(again with no obvious problems). I right-click on the
DFS root and the 'Replication Policy' option is greyed out.

All the DFS services are started as well as the FRS.

Can anyone throw me a bone here? I'm pulling my hair
out...

Thanks in advance.

The replication policy is only applicable if you have explicitly enabled
replication on a root or link, isn't it? I mean what policy is there to
configure if there's no replication?

You really don't want to explicitly turn on replication for a root, by the
way.
