I have a windows live hotmail account. Can someone please tell me what
settings I need to put in the boxs

Windows Mail cannot access any http email accounts. However, you can access
your Hotmail account via POP3. The required settings are here...

You need to use SSL, and authentication.
I'd also suggest using port 587 for SMTP.

(The newer Windows Live Mail can access Hotmail/Live http accounts.)
