Setting Up a PC in My Lan

I have three computers networked. Two have XP Pro, and I just replaced
W2K on the other with OEM XP Pro. It's been awhile since I networked any
of them. I'd like to get the new one on line. What do I need to do?

Hi
If you just replaced the OS, make sure that the network part of the new
WinXP is On and configured correctly and you should be good to go.
Maybe this can Help, http://www.ezlan.net/debug.html
Jack (MS, MVP-Networking).

Well, that moved me along, but, unlike this XP machine, I don't see a
MyNetwork Places icon on my desk top.

As I was about to run XP Help, I noticed a menu item called MyNetwork
Places. Perhaps on this machine, I copied it to my desktop.

I just tried to access the new XP machine from here, and Places shows
it's there, but won't let me in. As I recall, I need to somehow share
from the new machine the C-drive. I actually tried that a week or so
ago, and got some crazy Help (XP) that said to move the drive icon (??
Maybe something of the c-drive menu?) into the Shared folder. I did but
that made no sense.

Well, whether I go out to that machine depends how brave I want to be
tonight. It's in another building and we had a good snow fall today,
which is still with. It's 30F too. Tomorrow is supposed to warm up.
