Setting timeouts on 2003 VPN

D

Dan

How can I set a timeout for VPN users connecting to my
2003 RRAS server?

I see the setting for the policy under the "Dial-In
Constraints" tab, but does that only work if the user is
dialing in or should that work for VPN as well?

I have modified the policy using the Session Timeout
field under the "Dial-In Constraints" tab, but it doesn't
seem to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dan,

Apart from setting the time out in "Dial In Constraints" tab, you should
also change the properties of the user or group with which clients connect
to the VPN server.
In Properties of the user or group (local or domain user) , go to "Dial In"
tab, and set Remote access permissions as "Control access through Remote
Access Policy".

"Dial in Constraints" tab is for both the user dialing in and for VPN.

Thanks,
Priya.
