Setting restrictions on Internet explorer

Denis L. Menezes

Hello friends.

I am a newbie at win 2000 .

I look after a PC classroom. The requirement that I have is to let the
students (normal users) tto only some sites that we want them to see. They
should not be able to go to any other site. Also whatever settings we do in
the IE6, should not be visible and changeable by the normal users.

Can anyone advise me how I can do this?

Thanks
Denis

Denis,

I don't know all futures of IE.

You can setup a DNS server for the classroom. On this DNS server you enter
all hosts&sites you want to access and do not configure a DNS forward.
All PC's in your classroom have only this DNS server in the IP-Settings.

cheers
chris
