Setting resolution and refresh rate for different users, How ?

R

Ralf Baumhoefer

The situation is as follows:

In my Win XP Pro i 'm using two accounts.
First is an administrator, second is a restricted user.
My intention is, that each account should have
different resolutions and refresh rates.

admin: 1600*1200, 75 Hz
user : 1280*1024, 85Hz

Problem is, if i change res. for one of above accounts,
the other AUTOMATICALLY gets the SAME res.
and refr. rate! Why?

PS: I have a Radeon 9800 Pro with the newest (non-beta)
Catalyst driver. TIA.

NOP (Normal Operating Procedure) for NT OS's - check with Google - there are
several 3rd party solutions (some free) to assist in this problem.

Small Note: If you want to learn how to fix/do something, I'll point you to
it, but if you want me to do your work for you, it will cost you $50 USD per
hour - your choice.

As things stand, it is a global setting for all. Doug Knox has a easy
resolution changer at www.dougknox.com in XP Utilities; QuickRes for XP
which puts an icon in the task bar that can be used to switch
