Setting reminders for flagged e-mails

I'm currently using Outlook 2003.

I would like to know if there's a setting that allows flagged e-mails
(whether in Inbox or Sent Box) to pop up in a Reminder box when the item is
due. I know there is a Reminder box for appointments or tasks. Is there a
similar one for flagged items? Currently, I notice the flagged item turns
red once past the due date but I have to manually search for it.

I know how to add a reminder but when the due date arrives, I don't get a
reminder box similar to the one I get for appointments/ tasks.

you should. I just tested again and did.

I tried flagging an e-mail in my archive folder AND my on-line folder. The
e-mail in on-line folder popped up in a reminder box at the due time but not
for the e-mail in the archive folder.

Is there something in Settings I can adjust to cater to e-mails in my
archive/ off-line folder(s)?

reminders only work for default folders for other types of items. it seems
this also applies to reminders for email.
An alternative might be to drag your emails from other folders to the
default Tasks so that you create a Task from it and then set a reminder for
the Task.

Thank you for your help. Looks like I have to live without it. Hope
Microsoft comes up with a solution soon!

Cheers!
