Hi,

Control Panel/Internet Options/Programs tab, there is an option here you can
use to set Internet Explorer to check and see if it is the default browser.

.
Set your home page by navigating to the desired
site/page and in internet explorer press tools and then
select internet options and on general tab set home page
option. Exit with Apply and Ok.

If you have all the windows updates you will see a new
entry for "set program access and defaults" under your
start button on the right side. Have fun.

Important: Login as Administrator and repeat the process of setting the
default browser

Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs and enable the option:
"Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser"
Close IE and open again. Click YES if you are prompted to set it as default
browser.

(or)

Download the .reg fix. Set Internet Explorer as default browser:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IE_Default_Browser.reg

* Use this only if IE is installed in its default location [c:\Program
Files\Internet Explorer] *
