setting indents, paragraphs, etc...

I know its a basic question but how do you adjust the little things like how
much to indent paragraphs, spacing between them, etc... for an entire
document? I know you can go to "paragraph" and change those settings but it
only affects the selected paragraph. I want it to be automatic for the
entire document and what gets added later.

Before you go to Paragraph, select all (Edit menu) and those settings will
apply to the whole document. These settings will also then apply to anything
added. Hope this helps.

You can, if you desire to spend a little time, set up all the defaults to how
you like your sheet to look. The other method is to create by use of VBA
several different looks and place the icons on your tool bar. Click which
setup defaults you need
