Setting IE to open maximized every time?

One of my pet peeves is having browser windows open un-
maximized.
The IE6 shorcut in the Quick Launch menu always opens a
maximized browser window. I've tried a lot of things in
order to have windows launched from favorites or
hyperlinks open maximized as well, but nothing has worked.
I know that you can drag the window to the borders of the
desktop while depressing the control key, release, leave
the window by going to "File", "Close", and have the next
window that's launched automatically open up to that
previous mark, but it still isn't completely maximized.
I'd just like to have all browser windows open up the
same way the quicklaunch ie does...
Can anyone help?

There is a registry key I discovered that will allow IE to open up maximized
everytime. The only caveat is that it effects ALL applications. So, if you
don't mind having all your apps opening up max'd, I can tell you the
registry key.

Tim,
I don't see why having everything open maximized would be
a hindrance -- I could just reverse the registry edit if
I wanted to, right?
If so, I'll try it. Thanks a lot.

1) Right-click on the short-cut you use to run IE
2) Click on "Properties"
3) Click on the "Shortcut" tab
4) Choose "Maximized" from the pull-down list next to "Run"
5) "Ok" out

Well, here we go:

1. Navigate to the following key:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

Make sure Explorer is highlighted.

2. In the right pane, right-click and select New -> DWORD Value and name it
MaximizeApps.

3. Double-click it to set a value. Setting it to 1 enables all apps to open
up maximized, while 0 will disable that feature.

This will work if he was talking about launching from his shortcut,
but his shortcut ALREADY launches maximized. The OP wants windows
opening from hyperlinks/favorits within an existing instance of IE to
open maximized. Your instructions won't help there.

Donald,
"Maximized" was already selected and does force that
quicklaunch shortcut to open up maximized but doesn't
affect any other browser launches on the computer.
Thanks, though.

Didn't see your reply there, NobodyMan. Well put.

Tim,
I made the adjusments and all software applications now
open maximized but the browser windows aren't affected...
