Setting and files transfer not working

When I tried to transfer my file, applications, etc to my new computer, the
only things that transferred was my outlook express settings and mu
documents. I used the option to put the gransfer file on a hard drive, then
used that file on the new machine over my LAN. There are at least 20
programs that are not microsoft applications that did not transfer.
What can I do to get my programs to the new machine??

I'm going to guess - because you didn't tell us - that you're talking
about the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

What lead you to believe that the Wizard is supposed to transfer your
applications?

There's only one way to do what you want: Image your old hard drive and then
copy that image to the new hard drive. There's plenty of software to do this
- google 'hard drive image'.
