Setting Advanced Power Options

I have a number of laptops that are part of my Active Directory Domain
and we need to tweak some of the power settings upon login by our
users.

The settings for when the laptop is plugged in or on battery (IE turn
off monitor, hard disks, etc) are all coming across just fine.

But when we go to the "Advanced" tab, under the section titled "Power
Buttons" - specifically "When I close the lid", "Which I press the
power button" and "When I press the sleep button" - we are having
issues when our staff goes from one room to another and close the lid,
sometimes the system does not re-establish network connectivity,
sometimes it takes too long, etc.

I would even be willing to try a VBScript to take care of this issue.

Any ideas whatsoever?

Mabey You can change the settings to hibernate.
to make hibernate work you may have to cange the users log on and of and
deselect ''use the welcome screen" if you haven't done so already
