Set word wrap in Office 2003?

I've seen many posts on this question, but no answers... not too encouraging.
But I'll try again. Is it possible to set the text wrap length in Office
2003? We just upgraded, and there used to be a setting in the previous
version. Now, it appears that we need to insert hard returns, since the text
doesn't automatically wrap. It's a pain in the neck. Am I missing something?
