When i set up my system I took many peaples advice and created two volumns on
my drive one for system files and one for data files. My problem is all my XP
data keeps ending up in the documents and settings folder which is on my
system drive. I have haardly anything in my data drive because I can not move
the Documents and settings folder out of the system drive.

What do people do? I am stuck between throwing out all the organization that
XP provides or running out of space on my systems drive. I don't see why the
documents and settings file should ever be on the same drive as the system
files.

what do you think I should do. I want my data volumn to actuall hold my data
files.

You can redirect the subfolders under Documents and Settings such as My
Documents, My Music, etc to the other partition. Download TweakUI, one of
the MS powertoys. There is a setting there to allow the redirection of
those folders.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

You can also change the default settings in various programs such as a word
processor, internet explorer, etc, to point to that other partition for
saving files.
