Set Up of Outlook

Problem – When I set up my Microsoft Outlook account I seem to have had a
remote hard drive attached. I appear to have set up the account on this hard
drive and Microsoft Outlook will not work properly unless it is attached.
That is a nuisance as I do not have internet at home and have to use an
internet cafe.
The Microsoft Outlook help says that I cannot move this file. Is this true?
Advice please.
 
You're not providing any information to work with here;
-Version of Outlook?
-Type of mail account?
-How is your external hard drive related to this? Which file is it looking
for?
-Which file do you want to move and where is it located now?
 
To save guessing;
What is the exact err.msg you receive when starting without the remote
drive?
