set focus to record

I have a Main Form with a subform (continuous forms). The subform can have
records added to it (50+ records) which can be seen on the screen by
scrolling up and down.
On each record on the subform there is a button that opens another form (in
Maximised mode) to add records relating to that record.
When I close this form the original subform moves back so that Item 1 is
visible on the subform. I then have to scroll all the way back down to find
the item I was working on.

Is there a way to make the record (on the subform) that I have just added
details to be the record that is selected when i return to the form.
