Sessions fail to close

I am using an XP pro workstation as a server on a small (30 workstations)
LAN. I know that only 10 sessions are allowed at one time. There is no time
that 10 users are using the server at one time. So, I thought the i would not
have problems. However, the server retains an open session after a user has
left. When I look at the open sessions some have been connected for hours
even though they have zero files opened. How can I get the server to close
the session of the user who is no longer actively using the server?

Terry,

Check the connection timeout period registry value - what is it currently set
to?
