Services access hard drive every few seconds

On my vista ultimate htpc,
C:\\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\ntuser.dat.Log1, ...\NTUSER.DAT,
....\System 32\config\SOFTWARE.LOG1 continuously access my hard drive every
few seconds. What should I do to fix?

I have the same problem, but more files are involved.

C:\Users\MyName\ntuser.dat.LOG1
C:\WINDOWS\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\lastalive1.dat
C:\$LogFile (NTFS Volume Log)
C:\Users\MyName\NTUSER.DAT
C:\$Mft (NTFS Master File Table)
C:\User\MyName

This is after a night of zero activity. The HD access is each and every 5
seconds. It's a laptop, I don't want the hard drive active all night! You
know, battery life issues and such.

Can't this be cached in RAM somehow?
