I have very basic computer knowledge and when completing
the downloading of 'Service Pack 4' yesterday a virus
attack was announced "backdoor.roxy". Norton s/w said it
couldn't fix. I went on the Norton website and scanned
from there which told me that computer was infected but
whewn I scanned again from my Norton s/w (completely
updated) it found nothing.

Ya, hi, i have that damned virus and i have been searching for a month and noone seems to be able to help get rid of it. My 1.4 ghz computer now acts like my old 486 and almost refuses to shut down and it attempts to send e-mail from the Explorer files each time i start up. I have even had to shut down my DSL connection in order to shut off the computer some of the time. My norton soft ware cannot locate the virus file and when i go to My Computer and look in the files it lists 34 as hidden, which of course is where the damn thing is. Anyone who knows a programer who could help us, please contact them and see what can be done...this thing is insidious.
