Service Pack 3

I have Windows XP Home Edition. Some time back I opted
for a CD version of Service Pack 3. You sent me a CD
labeled Office XP Professional. Can I use this CD on my
Windows XP Home Edition? If not, how do I reorder the
correct CD?

You apparently think you're addressing Microsoft here. You're
not. This is the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general peer support newsgroup. We're
all just WIndows XP users here, trying to help each other when we
can.

You can use it on any computer with Office XP Professional
installed. The operating system is irrelevant.

What the hell are you talking about ?
There is no Service Pack 3 for XP!
SP1 is online and SP2 is due in a few weeks.
Problably therefore MS sent you an update disk for the office package.

Greetings --

There is no Service Pack 3 for WinXP Home. There isn't even a
Service Pack 2, yet. Are you confusing Windows and Office?

That is the service pack for the Microsoft Office XP application suite,
which has no relation to Windows XP the operating system. Windows XP
does not have a Service Pack 3 - it does not even have Service Pack 2
released; though that is not so very far in the future, and I would wait
for its release
