Service Pack 2 Problems

On some machines that I installed SP2.....I got weird errors

3 of the machines failed to launch windows update (permanently)

2 of the machines said "c:\progra~1\common files\.......\6\ikernel.exe" is
read only...I wasn't able to install any programs on those machines ever
again...

I cant submit a bug report b/c even that link fails so......I thought Id
post here

P4 1.8ghz

Please post your problems on sp2 to the sp2 newsgroup.
Sp2 is only in BETA release.

Did you just download sp2 recently? The reason is an unsupported
version of xp got put up their by mistake. Especially if your used
the new windows update site. Uninstall this version and reinstall
the correct xp sp1 rc1 version. This version will have to be
uninstalled from safe mode.
