Service Pack 2 problems

I have Windows XP Pro with automatic updates. Twice I have installed
successfully Service Pack 2. Both times I had to uninstall because after
installation I lose my Search function. I also lose System Restore.
 
contact MS thru MS winxp2 chat support, MS rep is online with you and ask
your question,,free service
