service pack 2 for xp

I recently downloaded sp 2 for xp, now when I try to restart my pc it
shutsdown and then upon restart I get a bios rom checksum error, keyboard
error and wants system cd which I no longer have, please help.

Hi,

did u try to install XP SP2 over an OEM Version of the operating system.

if you have the retail version of XP, then you should be having the CD for
emergency purposes.
