Service Pack 2 applied via GPO

I am on a 2000 AD domain network and we deployed sp2 via GPO.
Everything went find. I though I would disable the GPO since the
rollout went find and now when a workstaton reboots it starts
uninstalling service pack 2. Any suggestions?
