One of the things about *any* such Windows service pack is that it
improves security. One of the reasons you should install it even if it
"ain't broke" is that it can prevent it from getting "broke."
Actually what he meant was, SP1 fixes major screw ups with Vista. Security
might have been tweaked a bit but the Service Pack was to fix major
problems.
