Service.lck error

Hello All,
I am new this group and hope someone can help me with an extremely
frustrating error I keep getting.

Server Error: Cannot Open File "Service.lck" for writing

This occurs when I try to publish.
I have contacted my server and they said it is not their problem and cannot
help.
I have searched the internet and Microsoft Knowledge has steps to fix the
error but it does not seem to be applicable to Windows XP...Just dont have
the options they are asking me to use.

Does anyone have any ideas or had a similar problem in windows xp FrontPage
2003?

Ask you web host to delete the file, then run a server health check on the FP extensions.
