server missing in the entire network

I have one w2k server missing when browsing entire network.
The server account exists in AD. I can map a network drive
to and from the server by name or IP address, but still
cannot browse to it using the entire network. I did even
disjoined the domain, delete account in AD and recreate it
with the same outcome.
All help highly appreciated.

The server may have had the following registry setting applied to it

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameter
s
Add value Hidden (REG_DWORD). Set that to 1.
this will hide the server from the network

Also if the RestrictAnonymous registry value has been set to restrict
access over anonymous connections
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=246261
then this may be the cause of the problem.

Or the server may not be participating in the browser service

Have a look and see if any of these changes have been applied
or review
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;188305

for how to troubleshoot the browser service

playing with the master browser for two days already. The
funny thing is that the missing server exists when I go to
entire network on itself.
Any other suggestions?
Pls advice,

Well I suppose that the next thing is to ask the usual questions,

are you running all the latest service packs and hotfixes on your servers
any errors in the event logs on the server that's affected, or on the server
running the master browser role at present.
What does a netdiag show when you run it on the affected server. use the /v
switch for verbose
is your netconfig correct,
is wins disabled on the bindings of the network adapter,
is the server multihomed or does it have teaming.
is the primary nic the first nic listed in the advance settings of the
network connections on the affected server.
is NetBIOS disabled
are your wins servers happy (no comments please they are endangered)
is dns okay
etc, etc
you get any errors post them back
