Server 2000 Hangs for 15 min. intemitenly

Folks,

I have a windows server 2000 running on compaq w8000. it
has 2 xeon processors and 1 gig of memory. i have
peoplesoft loaded and weblogic running on this machine.

everyother day my machine hangs for about 15 minutes and
then it fixes it self. It seems to have no hardware issues
and all my service packs are up to date. this is really
getting frustating for me

I would be willing to bet that either PPS or WBL is running a scheduled
background process through the event scheduler. I personally wouldn't run
both programs on the same server, but that probably isn't the issue nearly
as much as scheduled processes like backups and archives.

Another thing might be to look at the inbound network load at the time of
the lockup. It might be that everybody tries to do the same PPS task at the
same time.
