Serivce packs or patches in VB or .NET

Hi,
Thank u very much for assisting us.
My doubt is How to Implement the service pack ot patches
in VB or VB.NET.for example I have 2 text boxes and 4
buttons add,sub,mul,div the textboxes accepts only
integers at first only these r placed on a form i have
created setup file it is working well but my requirement
is it should accept floats and integers when we give
service pack or patch to the existing setup without
disturbing the applications when we run this patch it
should work for both int and floats.
I hope i will get the positive response intime.

This question was addressed from a different forum around 4-5 months ago &
the opinion is that there is no point in creating patches anymore with
Windows Installer so freely available to developers.
