Problems in Vista RC1 5600

#1

Links no longer opening in Outlook 2003. It was before I made changes in
default programs > set program access and defauls > changed htm / html from
IE7 to Firefox.

I get this every time I open up Outlook 2003. If I click yes, it imports
the two accounts. I delete them. This happens again when restarting Ooutlook
2003. Why? I do not see Outlook express in Vista at all. No accounts are in
Windows Mail either. How do I fix this?

#3

Seems impossible to make firefox default browser all in all (browser, outlook)

Running Firefox as admin and telling it to be the default browser didn't
work for me under RC1.

I did do the following, but still didn't work:

Start -> Default Programs -> Set program access and computer defaults ->
Custom -> Choose a default web browser -> Mozilla Firefox (tick)

When I go back, it shows "current browser" again instead.

Are you certain that FF has not become the "current browser?"

I had the same problem in XP after installing Firefox so it's not a Vista
problem, if I recall properly setting IE as your default browser will fix
the problem.

It is certainly a Vista problem. I used XP for years with firefox without
issues as default browser. Nothing to do with XP

It's a Firefox bug

I've noticed that there are some bugs when trying to set defualt programs for
various things, such as for setting your default application to play .avi
files. It doesn't want to allow you to change from using WMP, every time I
sect the other program it still opens the file in WMP

Exactly. Either a bug, or Microsoft refuses to allow you to use other
software that is not there own.

Sad.
