I have recently purchased a serial RAID controller.
I couldn't find its driver thru google
It says VIA Silicon Image on one side of the box
it has no model number.
Where can I get this serial RAID controller?
Thanks
Jack

I have got the driver running. And Windows recog. it
but windows explorer still doesn't show the drive connected
by RAID.
Any help please?
Thanks
Jack

Hi DL,
My new hard drive had already got somethin' inside.
Any other possibilities?
Thanks
Jack

A used drive SATA 160G...
there are 2 partitions inside it
Thanks
Jack

So is the drive detected in Disk Management, and if so what does it show for
this drive?
What did you mean when you said drive is detected in windows?

Detected meant Device Manager (RAID SCSI Device; somethin' like that) showed
it
Thanks
Jack

That means that the controler is detected, not the hd
What does Disk Management show?

Everything is fine. It shows the correct name of the device
and tells me that it is running.
So the main problem is the hard drive. I knew it was running because I felt
heat off my hand when I touched it
Anything elses I need to consider?
Thanks
Jack

Your still not answering
What exactly does Disk Management say about this hard disk
