Serial Port

Win XP Pro. I seem to have no function of the serial port, won't read my
GPS. It doesn't seem to be the cable. It worked before. Device manager
doesn't indicate any problems. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, I have used it before. For some reason the serial port isn't working
now.

check that the serial port is enabled in BIOS, check baud rate, stop bits,
and xon/xof settings. Consult your GPS manual on how to setup serial port on
the PC.
