Serial comms problem?

Hi,

Didnt know where to post this so thought best to put it here.

I have recently installed a new motherboard (same as my old one) as the
original broke. I then reinstalled xp on a bigger harddrive. My problem is
that when I now use a certain piece of software it complains within the
program that there is a communications conflict! this is not reported in xp
however and all seems fine. I have diabled the other two comms ports etc but
the software still complains. The thing is it was all working before this
switch of motherboard and reinstall of XP. I have no idea how to track this
problem down and was wondering if anyone knew? Thanks

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the port device(s), Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.
