I am replacing my old IDE hard drive with a new Serial ATA 80GB Hard Disk.
My motherboard can support Serial ATA, and I understand how to get the hard
drive working etc. but I have a few questions that I wondered if you could
answer about Windows XP interaction with Serial ATA drives.
Firstly, I am only setting up one Serial ATA hard disk, which will be the
only hard disk connected to the computer. I will be installating XP Home on
the computer. What 'extra' things will I need to do when setting up Windows
XP with Serial ATA.
P.S.
With my motherboard came a floppy disk containing the serial ata raid
drivers. Also came a CD with MSI's serial ata raid utility for windows.
Just thought these details might help.
Thanks
