Serach is not working

Hi, when I right click a folder and go to search, or when I go to
start>search>for files or folders, the search window doesn't show up.
How can I fix it?

I have the same problem and I have done as kellys korner says. The
installation asks for file msgr3en.dll on the Win XP SP2 CD and I only have
the original XP CD as the Sp2 was downloaded from the WEB. Will the original
XPCD do the job?

Ruben, go to Start>Run type: regedit Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoFind

If "NoFind" has the value "01 00 00 00" change it to "00 00 00 00" and it
will probably solve your problem. You will need to restart ("log off & log
in" will probably suffice).
