Seperate Users and Resolution

Windows XP seems to have the behaviour that seperate user's must have the same resolution. Well this is quite annoing because me and my mum are using the same computer and she finds that my optional resultion is too small for her to see, and her optional resolution is too big for me to get used too. Is there any way that anybody knows of to get around this and allow us to have seperate resolutions for our user accounts?

You are quite right that there is no way to do this natively in XP.
However, MVP Doug Knox has written a handy utility to take care of
this. Get it here:
