Using Outlook 2003 and Win XP.

I am able to delete the message by going offline and deleting but when I
send another message, it once again locks up and the message gets stuck in
the outbox. This began when I tried to send a large message. I was able to
delete the large one and all subsequent messages I have tried to send.

Any suggestions?

After it did you put Outlook in on-lin mode again? Uncheck File-> Work
Offline

Yes, I can reply but not send.

What error message do you get during Send/Receive?
If you don't see the Send/Receive dialog initiate it manually by clicking
the Send/Receive button.

Are you running a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook? If so disable
this integration and try again.
