Sent messages folder clearing

Outlook 2000. I have just noticed that my 'sent messages' folder seems to
clear out everything earlier than 2 months.
1) How can I change that to say 1 year? 2) How can I get back my old
messages?

Check the auto-archive properties. Right click on the Sent Items folder,
choose Properties, go to the Auto-Archive properties
 
Thanks very much, Vince. I reset that to a more suitable figure. Now how can
I restore my archive or read it?
