Sent items won't open

I just installed Office 2007, Outlook works OK, but "sent items" file won't
open. It tells me to "Try starting Microsoft Office Outlook again.". I also
get a box that says "Messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If
problem persists, restart Outlook". I have tried several times and used the
disk to "repair" the problem to no avail.

No, it will not work in "safe" mode.

Yes, I upgraded from 2003

Start Outlook with the /cleanviews switch and see if it works correctly now;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /cleanviews

After an upgrade, it is also recommended to recreate you mail profile as

No, still the same. I tried the "cleanview" but no joy.

OK, I figured it out. I ran scanpst.exe on the outlook.pst. file and it
fixed everything. Thanks anyway.
