Sent Items gone, now they won't show at all

Hi, all of my sent items messages are gone. When I send new messages, a copy
is not saved in my sent items folder. I checked Tools then selected Options,
clicked on the Send tab and the option "Save copy of sent messages in the
'Sent Items' folder is checked. What's going on?

I figured this out. When my sent items folder was open, I started looking
around through the View menu. I discovered that the "Current View" was set
to "Hide Read Messages." I changed it to "Show All Messages" and they all
came back.
