Sent Items Disappeared

I have lost almost 3 month worth of email I have sent. my inbox if fine. I
just realise when I needed to check some think and I seen there are no email
form March, April and May in my sent items, the rest are there.
Can any one help PLEASE, what happened to them ? how can I retrieve them?
They are very important.
I never delete any email. just half of my sent email disappeared with no
reason.

You can try and browse to the folder using Explorer and see if the actual
messages are still there. See here for the details on the location:

I have find the lucation, but how can I find out if they there or not?

You can use Windows Explorer to see the date and subject and author by
opening it to that folder, then right click on the Column headers and select
More and then add those columns. Alternatively, open WinMail and create a
new folder and open it so it shows an empty folder list. Then drag the eml
files overtop that empty folder list and drop them and those messages will
incorporated into the folder and you can see if the missing ones are still
there or whether they were actually deleted.

If they did get deleted, then I would check for some 3rd party program doing

Dear Steve,
Thank you for your expert help. the contents are more technical then my
understanding , could that be in simpler terms please?

I have turned of my email scan in my inti virus, also I had windows advanced
care3, which I uninstalled it just in case if interfering with my windows
mail.

I explained that about as simply as I can. If you try the steps I outlined,
they should become fairly clear.

But I suspect those other programs likely deleted your messages irrevocably.
