sent emails not being moved from outbox to sent items

Peter

A friend of mine has recently changed computers, and transfered the
pst file from the old to the new.
Whilst sending email and replies, actually works, the email sent stays
in the outbox instead of being transfered to the sent items folder.
The email is not date stamped as being sent, but tests prove that they
are actually going.
Suggestions to fix this please. Despite heaps of time spent trying to
resolve the issue, we have found nothing.

tks
Peter

One cause of this is using an antivirus scanner to scan outgoing mail, which
is never necessary and often detrimental to mail operation.

Outlook has a feature to send the mails after a certain duration...
that means, all mails are spooled in the outbox until the specified
time reaches (that is when the mails are actually delivered)..

Doesn't apply at all. Please read the OP's message again. He said that the
messages ARE being properly delivered, just not leaving Outbox.
