I have a hotmail account in outlook. When I send messages they go the
receipent abut a copy of it also comes to my inbox.
I mean I receive my own message that I just send. What is happening?

i'll admit to not having a hotmail account, so i can't speak from
experience. however, gmail seems to to the same thing.

you might try going to hotmail website, take a look at your account options,
perhaps you can turn off this "feature".

From the OUTLOOK perspective: there is a setting that can be set to
save the sent item into the same folder as the original item. If the Inbox
holds the original item, even though it is the inbox, and you have multiple
email accounts, this may be the issue.

- Open Outlook
- Select TOOLS menu
- Select OPTIONS
- On the "Preferences" tab Click the E-MAIL OPTIONS... button.
- Click the "ADVANCED E-MAIL OPTIONS..." button

Remove the check mark from the box next to: "In folders other than
the inbox, save replies with original message".

- Click the OK button
- Click the OK button
- Click the OK button

I, to, have a Hotmail account old enough to not require using the Hotmail
Connector. I access it from Outlook 2007 using a WebDAV HTTP account on
Windows XP and an Outlook Connector account on Windows Vista. In neither case
do my outgoing messages show up in Inbox. Do you have any rules? And
add-ins? Any rules or filters on the Hotmail side of things?
