Sending to many recipients

I am attempting to send bulk emails to a number of contacts who have asked
for my email updates for youth activities/news at our church, so I created
Church Newsletter as a group in my contacts. I've sent two or three and
nobody gets them. Is there something blocking my transmission? My outgoing
mail settings look OK (to ME...might not to someone who truly knows). What
can I try?

1st, ask your ISP what is the maximum # of email recipients their SMTP
server allows. (Just to see if that is what your problem really is.) If
so..

I don't know how large your group is, but if it's less than 100, you could
set up a gmail account, and send your email through their SMTP server. You
could still use your normal email address as the "reply to" address so
recipients would not notice anything different from normal. If you had 200
recipients, you could create 2 separate distribution list in Outlook, each
with less than 100 recipents.
