I tried to re-set defaults so I would not receive mail in Office Outlook.

When I go to send a general email to myself into Win Mail, that works just
fine.

When I go to send a photo thru Win Mail, the Office Outlook pops up and that
is the only way I can send a receive photos....

I just tried to re=set default on one of my account ( I have 4 emails acct
on Vista).

When Office 2007 was installed, I inadvertantly set up Microsoft Office
Outlook , when I already HAD WIN MAIL and Win Mail was working properly.

Should I go into Microsoft Office outlook and DELETE this specific email
accout?

If I do, will it also delete it in WIN MAIL..as I dont want it to mess up my
Win Mail, which seems to be working fine without picutres being sent.

thanks

If you are satisfied with Win Mail, and have no wish to use Outlook, in the
Add/remove dialogue modify your Office installation to make Outlook
unavailable.
You can set the default Mail handler in Internet Options, however Office
updates usually reset these to Outlook, if installed.

When I go into add/remove in the control panel, there is no option to modify
OFFICE-the only option there is to remove the entire program--I don't want to
do that since I need word and excel etc from Win.Office 2007.

Can you help in explaining more how to do what you suggest?
thanks

That option will bring up a dialog that allows you to change what parts of
Office are installed.

Or you can use your Office cd
Just pop it in, eventually it will open and give you some options, modify
being one

If Office is already installed, the cd/dvd insertion usually opens the contents of the cd/dvd in Windows Explorer. I.e. use
Add-Remove(XP) or Programs and Features(Vista)

So, all you see from Add/Remove Programs is a Remove button? On my
Vista/Office 2007 install, Add/Remove has a "Change" button in addition to
a "Remove" button. As others have suggested, running setup from the install
CD should also present you with a screen allowing you to change or modify
Office features in addition to selections allowing you to repair/reinstall
the current installation and to remove the current installation. Office
Setup programs have offered Change/Modify the current installation as far
back as Office 97.
