I've downloaded the fix for Vista. I've checked my POP and mail server and I
still can't send. I now get the message "The Update does not apply to your
system."

Has the account ever worked in Windows Mail?

"SMTP" is not the correct mail server name. You get the correct
server name from your mail provider. If you need more help, tell us
who your mail provider is.
