Sending Fax Fails Every Time Error ID 32079

Every time I try to send a fax, using Microsoft Fax, this error appears:

Device name: Conexant HSF V92 56K Data Fax PCI Modem.

The modem is designed to work with/XP according to the Windows Catalog.
BTW, I'm running XP Pro 2002 SP2, v.2120.

What adjustments can I make to overcome this consistent failing? TIA
