sending error reports

what is the point of those poxy error reports.........
every time i send one, bollocks all gets done

If Microsoft has an answer to your problem, you will get a reply to that

Just stop that annoyance by going to System Properties, Error Reporting button and check Disable error reporting and check But notify me of criticial errors.

The info goes to MS to use to improve the program. Occasionally they do
respond back, but it depends on the issue.
 
microsoft gets so many error reports that it is useless to
send one in. and remember that a picture of your system in
the error area is taken and sent away .

My guess is things do get done assuming MS gets some set amount of the
same report.

It is useful to Microsoft in establishing if there is a pattern of
error, that may then lead towards a fix. But don't expect a response;
they are not generating 'personal' interactions. I only leave it on
being on always on broadband - but then I hardly ever see something to
send in
