Sending e-mail to address not in contacts

My boss is trying to send an e-mail to an address that is not in his
Contacts. A message keeps popping up that there is no match in the Contacts
list and the message can't be sent. This is a one time e-mail message (he
says) and therefore does not want to add the address to his contacts. Any
ideas? Is there an "on/off" switch about checking addresses in the Contacts
list?

How is he trying to specify it? Outook gladly accepts addresses you don't
have in yout Contacts and it doesn't complain. Just type it in the To field.
