sending e-mail attachments to my documents

I received an e-mail with attachments that I wanted to
keep, so I copied them to "my documents". Now I have 34
copies of the same attachments in folder. Tried to
delete by holding down control, highlighting several at a
time and sending them to recycle bin. They seem to
multiply. Also did a system restore back before I did
that, but they're all still there. How can I clean up
all these folders, and WHAT should I have done? I'm
pretty new at this, need help, Thanks.

How are you copying the attachments to My Docs?

Multiplying files can happen sometimes if you don't hold the mouse
very steady after selection.
